I've just heared about the story of rosa parks and the bus which caused her prison. I was thinking what was in that white man's head to encourage him to think he has more rights to sit than her? or what encouraged them to force people to sit on the back bus because of their different race?
It happened 50 years ago, after almost half century of slaves were freed.
After paasing one century, as it's clear things are still going on that way. Although not so distinctly like that, but still going on.
It's not only between Black and White people, I beleive. I should mark my people of that too.
We Iranian are of race "Aryans" and we call ourselves as Persians. One thing that could make an iranian upset is to be called and known as an Arab.
I don't blame them (I mean us) though, as our country was attacked by Arabs and our relegion changed after that by the force of them, but now should the descendant of those who did that to us should be hatred? Is it fair?
There are some people with the thought of being better, just because of being persians. Even sometimes being unkind and crul to afghans.
In my country there are so many afghans living in a bad condition due this look, being devastated by this look which sees them as the criminals potentianlly, but the truth is most of them are nice hard working people, with an exeption which you can find in any nation or race.
Science saies in the far futures like 50000 years, races will be mixed in such a way that practically there won't be any remarkable differences between individuals at all in human species.
I was thinking it's like plenty of time is needed for humankind to forget this foolish excuses to be crul and mean, like race or gendeer and to underestand that should be more appreciating for life.
Should we get physically identical to get that?
I really liked Tom Cruise when he answered Oprah who asked about his other-raced son; "what's the diffrenec?" he said, " there is only one earth and we all are living together on it..he is my son! I love him..."
They say Tom is a beautifull person in heart, and I think it's true. Will we all make ourselves such a beauty inside?

"Antar" in farsi means a name for a type of monkey. Due to its similarity to first part of Mahmoud Ahmadi nejad's surname and hatred for him, people call him Antari-nejad.
Now it's like he really deserves this term, after what he said in last few days. Although they are repeating all these every year in Ghods day (like we have no problem ourselves and the only disolved thing is palestine, though they know all the troubles people have is because of them, and this fact makes people even more furious).
Now it seems we should pay for those monkey-words once again we don't even agree with. God knows how deeply it sounds unfair to me and my people. Ahmadimejad of course won't give a shit, since the only problem in the world in palestine even though palestinains seem not to be happy with their interventions and not to aprove what he said.
It's clear that they want to achieve peace, but what ahmadijead is suggesting sounds like a never-ending war.
I didn't vote for him or any other candidates , and won't do it in the future untill all these are going on.. but for sure I will take the anger and hatred of the world for my country's disastrous politics, and no body cares about years and years of deap dark time this politician made in my life.. it's like we are panishing for a past-lives gilt we don't even know what it was or how long the punishment is going to take.

They call this paintings as "Rangouly of the floor" and it's a symbolic "welcoming" to guests. Indians do the Rangouly in feasts like "Diwali".
Diwali is the great feast of indians, and it possesses stories of gods and devils and their faights with each other.

Silly, those 'bots', makes you wonder what people won't do for money. Its seems its a kind of parasitism.
And the thing about racism, people judge each other according to the way they look, the clothes they wear, skin colour, etc. etc.
The thing that works best to overcome differences is to learn to know each other. And get rid of the barriers between people.
One of the sad conflicts in Europe is between protestants and katholics in Northern Ireland. They actually all look the same, those Irisch, at least, as far as I can tell.
And is goes on an on.
However, it now seems that the conflict is slowing down. I have the impression that people care less and less about their religion, and with the vanishing interest in their inherited religions the conflict also slowly dissapears.
Iran, its a pity Iran has had such a setback, and ''the West'' is in such dissaray. The thing that worries me most is that if Iran does have nuclaeir weapons, it wil change into a kind of North Korea. I'm not worried about Iran attacking other countries. I do think however that its the Iranians themselves who should be worried. If Iran posesses nucleair weapons, the Iranian governing elite will become invulnerable. And they will never let go of their political power. The outside world will not be able to intervene, and the Iranian people will have no chance against such a government. Not a very pretty prospect.
Nonetheless, just like that movie: Live of Brian, ''always look on the brite side of live, ... tomdom tiedomtiedom ... .. . '' :-)
I'm am curious, how thoes internet work in Iran, do you have cable/adsl
or using a 56k-modem. Are you able to visit any site youre interested in?

Dear Neda.
The problem with this blog-provider is that they don't use those 'hard-to-read-passwords' before youre able to make a comment. That makes it vulnerable to those extremely irritating bots.
It's that I'm a civilized Dutchmen, otherwise I would propose the sharia for those who are responsible for these bots. [/joking]
Living in India: yes, I have now read other posts you made. Liked your pictures! Are you going to be another unvoluntary immigrant? Or do you wish to go back? There is a lot of positive news coming from India. It is said to be booming, doing economically very well.
What fascinates me is being able to have a glimpse of other peoples lives in very, very, different parts of the world. It's hard for me to imagine how live would be in such places, in such a climate.
Compare some pictures of my place of living in Den Haag (The Haque) and until some time ago, in Amsterdam:
Holland
(I hope the link works)
Internet: I was curious how these things work in Iran. It's a pity there is censorship, allthough its not really surprising. Internet has really put things upside-down in Holland, (and other countries).
It's very sad that there are 'nerds' who are willing to work for governments to put restrictions on something this wonderfull.
I also forgot internet centers are still common in many countries. They never have been common here in Holland. I think there aren't many housholds in Holland who don't own at least one computer and internet connection. In fact, you have to own one. All bankaccounts for example, are done through the internet. Sign of the times, it seems.
Take care, Wolfhard.
David please don't apologize I enjoyed reading your comment and I mean it... what you said about election was we (iranian blogger) thought too, that was so doubtful the way he won the election, but anyway thing are the way now they are..
Walfhard you asked about coming back to iran, you know, I realy missed my family and everything there, but in the other hand I really don't think to be able to study and work in the presure and control anymore. I will decide about the country in which in future I'm going to continue my education by the way I'm having a very good time here in india which means I may stay for couple of years.
and the pictures are lovely.. I knew holand is a very beautiful country, and as a van gogh-painting lover I have a special respect for this country.
Not a bad choice I think. Iran doesn't look very promising right now.
It's nice to hear you enjoy your stay in India. My sister went on 'vacation' in India, a more or less organized tour through India. She enjoyed it, but it was also very hard and tiresome. Not really what one could call a vacation. She was very relieved when she finally arrived at Goa, a wealthier region.
In fact, she has also been to Iran a few years before. A journey which she enjoyed more than here stay in India. Offcourse, the political situation, work, censorship is not very relevant to a tourist.
I now regret that I didn't go with her to Iran. Those were better years. And I would love to visit Persepolis. Well, maybe things will turn to the better in a few years. And I'm out of money anyway :-(
Holland: I don't think that Holland is particularly beautiful. It's very crowded, and more or less a city-state. But it does have nice spots, allthough the pictures on this Russian website (!) certainly weren't the best one could make. In fact, the pictures which supposedly depict ''Den Haag'' are in fact pictures of the nearby harbour and beach resort ''Scheveningen''.
It's nice you have some pictures. I also understand you drive a motorcycle. I can almost imagine seeing you driving through India. in my imagination it does look rather cheerfull. That's why I came up with those pictures, the contrast between India and Holland is just so big.
Van Gogh. Great painter, no doubt, Also a very tragic live.
Some time ago I toured a few Russian friends through the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, I lived there at the time. I got a very strange feeling after some time spent there. It appeard to me as a tempel, with worshippers silently moving along the pictures. In fact, especially in Italy there are many katholic churches with extensive fresco's depicting religious stories. It was a bit like that.
Better to go to Arles and see the light and surroundings yourself.
I saw one off your paintings, very good!, maybe one day you can go to Arles and step in his footsteps.
(but without his problems)
Allez au revoir! Wolfhard
